Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. Since January, 2020 when there is a outbreak of Covid-19 in Wuhan, China, it has been dark clouds over our heads. As of December 29, 2021, there have been confirmed cases of 281, 808,270, including 5,411,707 deaths worldwide. More than 60% of people in developed countries have been vaccinated. However, new confirmed cases have recently soared again. People start to cast doubts about the efficacy of vaccination and restricted measures. Governments face the dilemma of making correct decisions regarding the management of Covid-19. With the aid of social media, the pandemic has been chaotic medically, mentally and socially. How can we help ourselves better copy with the pandemic?

The whole picture is missing an important element: IMMUNITY. The public, media and government rely on so much on vaccine, medication and self-isolation. These are good methods, but not enough to manage different situation. Regardless of types of infection (virus, bacteria and fungus , etc) and strains of virus, IMMUNITY is the KEY. Strong immunity is the foundation of protection against any infections.

Traditional Chinese medicine and Covid-19

According to Traditional Chinese medicine, Covid-19 is the consequence of invasion of external microbe into our body. This external microbe is called by ancient Chinese as EVIL QI. The EVIL QI is the result of unexpected climate changes. There are 2 solar changes every month, total of 24 annually, where 1 solar term (Jie Qi) equal to 15 degree (=15 days) of the rotation of the EARTH around the Sun. The EVIL QI forms when the solar system changes beyond NORMAL. In plain words, abnormal climate changes create the condition for virus, bacteria and other microbes to grow in nature. When these microbes in nature grow out of balance, they become pathogenic to human being. Epidemic occurs when microorganisms and susceptible hosts are present in adequate numbers, and the microorgnisms can be effectively conveyed from a source to the susceptible hosts. Ancient Chinese realized that prevention is easier than treatment towards a disease. The most important principle in traditional Chinese medicine is "Vital Qi exists in the body, Evil Qi will not disturb you". Regardless of types of infection and strains of microbes, vital Qi , your immunity is the key!
